Chopra is now just the second Indian, after illustrious shooter Abhinav Bindra, to hold the Olympic and World Championship titles at the same time. At age 23, Bindra won the World Championships, and at age 25, he won the Olympic gold.

Following Chopra’s impressive performance in the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, congratulations began to flood social media. The Haryana sensation received a ton of acclaim for his remarkable accomplishment from the Indian cricket community.

The most effective advice for India’s golden kid came from former opener Virender Sehwag. Sehwag added, “Fenkon toh aise fenko ki chaar log bole Kya fekta hai yaar,” praising Chopra’s incredible run. 88.17 meters and a gold medal at the world athletics championships were achieved by our champion, #NeerajChopra. The huge run keeps going.

Kya fekta hai yaar? Fenkon toh aise fenko ki chaar log bole.

Here are some further responses:

Chopra also became just the third javelin thrower in history, behind famous Czech throwers Jan Zelezny and Andreas Thorkildsen, to hold both the Olympic and World Championships titles at the same time.

In addition to winning the World Championships in 1993, 1995, and 2001, Zelezny won the Olympic gold medal in 1992, 1996, and 2000. At the 2008 Olympic Games and the 2009 World Championships, Thorkildsen took home gold.

Chopra accomplished every championship his sport has to offer with his performance on Sunday. In addition to four individual Diamond League Meeting championships (two in each of 2022 and 2023) and the Diamond League champion’s trophy last year, he has won gold at the Asian Games (2018) and Commonwealth Games (2018).
