<p>Just over a year ago, Ryo Hisatsune was a relatively obscure Japanese golfer. <p>Hisatsune and nine other golfers won their PGA TOUR cards via the Race to Dubai Rankings in alliance with Rolex on Sunday, making him the first Asian player to benefit from the strategic alliance between the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR.</p>
<p>The always cheerful Hisatsune remarked, “My stomach has been in knots playing these last few weeks, but knowing I’ve secured my status makes me extremely happy, and I’m really looking forward to next year.” “I’m just really happy right now; this has just opened the door. It’s up to me to take advantage of the opportunity.”</p>
<p>Hisatsune secured the tenth and last PGA TOUR card available for players who are not otherwise exempt by finishing tied 18th in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship held in Dubai.</p>
<p>He fluctuated in and out of the Top 10 during the last round, but in the end, he ended 27 points ahead of Rasmus Hojgaard, whose twin brother Nicolai won the season’s last event on the DP World Tour by two strokes.</p>
<p>Adrian Meronk (Pol), Ryan Fox (Nzl), Victor Perez (Fra), Thorbjorn Olesen (Den), Alexander Bjork (Swe), Sami Valimaki (Fin), Robert MacIntyre (Sco), Matthieu Pavon (Fra), and Jorge Campillo (Esp) are among the other players who have obtained dual memberships on the PGA TOUR.</p>
<p>On Sunday, Hisatsune’s happiness was evident to everybody as he continued his incredible ascent. Just two years before, he was performing on the Abema Tour, the secondary circuit in his own country. He subsequently secured his spot on the Japan Golf Tour for 2022 by winning three times. At the conclusion of the previous year, he registered for the DP World Tour Qualifying School, where he tied for ninth place.</p>
<p>The young Japanese golfer’s eight top-10 finishes this season included a runner-up result in the Australian PGA Championship, his first DP World Tour event. I really want to work hard and play my best next year because I’m so thrilled right now.</p>
<p>Even though players like Matsuyama and PGA TOUR champion Satoshi Kodaira call Florida home, Hisatsune intends to establish his headquarters there, but he will never forget his origins, which allowed him to further his golf career.</p>
<p>“I was able to win three titles in my rookie season on the Abema Tour, which immediately propelled me forward and secured my card on the Japan Golf Tour.” That was really significant. My career then moved to the DP World Tour, where I’ve been able to advance rather effectively. In that sense, I have many wonderful recollections from my professional experience,” he said.</p>
<p>“My game met the challenges presented by the golf courses on the DP World Tour.” Having achieved some solid outcomes, I felt more confident. Although I had anticipated struggling more, I discovered that I was really enjoying being in contention. I’ve really shocked myself in that regard.</p>
<p>In 2024, Hisatsune may very well surprise a lot of people by joining the PGA TOUR.</p>
